Shiatsu Masters
Shiatsu Masters refers to graduates who have been fully and successfully trained in the Traditional Shiatsu Therapy techniques outlined by the founder of Shiatsu, Tokujiro Namikoshi and his son Toru Namikoshi. The term Shiatsu Masters was initially created by a private school in Toronto, ON, the Shiatsu Academy of Tokyo, to classify graduates who have adhered to the traditional Namikoshi technique in their practices. The Namikoshi Shiatsu technique is a process where a specific procedure is done as the client lies in different positions on a floor mat. Shiatsu is applied to the Anterior, Lateral, and Posterior regions of the body in a systematic way by pressing on specific points. Clients benefit from the thoroughness of the procedure as Shiatsu is applied.
